Experience the warmth and tradition of Challah baking right here at Chelsea Giving Kitchen!
Join our Community Challah Bake sessions to learn the beautiful art and deep significance behind this traditional braided bread. Whether you’re a seasoned baker or trying it for the first time, our instructors will guide you through the steps in our welcoming, fully kosher kitchen environment.
From mixing the ingredients and feeling the dough come alive as you knead, to mastering braiding techniques and anticipating that wonderful fresh-baked aroma, this is a truly hands-on experience. More than just baking, it’s a chance to slow down, connect with fellow community members, share stories, and partake in a cherished cultural practice. You’ll leave not only with your own beautifully baked Challah to enjoy (Optional addition based on your model: “…and perhaps an extra loaf baked with intention to be donated through our partner network?”) but also with the satisfaction of learning a new skill and the warmth of shared creation. Your participation also directly supports Chelsea Giving Kitchen’s core mission of providing nourishing meals to those in need.
